Giacomo's son John was sent to Galveston in about 1892 to sell wine. John married Rosa Toselli from Sestri Levante, Italy, and they had four children. The winery no longer exists, but the family persists in California and Texas. Occasionally we assemble to celebrate family history. |

| Not much from Italy has survived the passage of time in America. We don't speak Italian. We have only a few old-family recipes. But we all descended from the two Italian immigrants above, and we undoubtedly share common ancestry with every single Migliavacca in Italy. (How can a name like ours develop more than once?)
So drop us an email, cousin! Tell us the history of your branch. Have you proved a mathematical concept? Dicovered a new insect specie? Been to jail? Written a novel? Saved souls? How about having written a mandolin piece (named Migliavacca -- there is one)? Worked all your life laying bricks? Rebuild transmissions for a living? Don't be shy. Tell us and this will contribute to the family profile. I will accumulate this information somehow and report an overview. We'll start out with myself: Bios |
